Desktop pets are very friendly. They tend to walk around your desktop looking for things to eat and a nice place to rest. They come in three varieties: large (desktopus grandus), small (desktopus minimus) and burrowing (desktopus residus).
Desktop pets are scared of mice so if your cursor comes near it, they will probably run away. If they can't get away, they will just quiver in fear. Please do not taunt the desktop pets.
Sometimes they will eat your applications windows as they walk underneath. Fortunately, their digestive system is very slow so you won't lose any of your data. (phew!).
You should talk to your desktop pets; they are very good listeners.
